THE LEGACY CONTINUES

It all began in 1958, our founder’s grandfather, Nagaratnam SIVALINGAM started working in the tea industry and retired from the prestigious Lipton Ceylon Ltd in 1974. After retiring, he commenced his own business of tea blending and storage facility in Maligawatta, Colombo and exported Ceylon tea in wooden chests to the Middle East countries.

In 1982, his son, Sivanathan NAGARATNAM took the business further from humble beginnings at Vauxhall Street in the busy hub of Colombo, and launched his own Ceylon Tea brand, ‘SUPER T’. This enabled the company to reach retailers throughout the island. The ‘super t’ brand became well known and the business was well established and rewarding. Unfortunately, disaster struck in the wave of communal riots that swept over the island in 1983. The company lost their assets and the business collapsed as a result.

The third generation Tea enthusiast and Marketer Rohan SIVANATHAN was born and nurtured on Ceylon Tea plantations and now hails in Türkiye, inspired by the family legacy, he launched CEYLON téyilai TEA to tea lovers globally.

CEYLON téyilai TEA brings you the legacy and love of tea from three generations of tea enthusiasts who brew their tea not just as a hot or chilled beverage but as the very essence of paradise.
